What Actually Sold Best at Markets in 2025?

What Actually Sold Best at Markets in 2025?

After hundreds of market days (and a lot of early mornings), we’ve learned something important:

Online best sellers and in-person best sellers are not always the same. And, selling in-person continues to bring us the bulk of our annual revenue.

When customers can touch the jewelry, try it on, hold it up to the light, and hear the story behind the stone — certain pieces rise to the top every single time.

Here’s what consistently sells at markets:

1. Earrings - All of them!

Shoppers love them because:
  • They are an easy "yes".
  • No sizing required.
  • They make a great gift.
  • Mostly affordable for all shoppers.

From tiny studs to hammered hoops to sea glass dangles — earrings are our steady, reliable market heroes. Often customers will buy one pair… and then circle back for another before the day is over.

2. PNW Gemstone Rings & Pendants

Any piece of jewelry featuring gemstones from the Pacific Northwest is an instant conversation starter, especially:

  • Oregon Sunstones
  • Holley Blue Agates
  • Montana Agates
  • Gary Green Jasper

People love knowing the stone came from here and many we've sourced ourselves. There’s something special about wearing a piece of the region — especially for locals, rockhounds, and visitors wanting a meaningful keepsake.

Holley Blue Agate, in particular, stops people mid-stride. The color simply doesn’t look real in person.

These pieces don’t just sell — they connect.

3. Sea Glass Rings

Sea glass rings are one of our most emotional sellers and draws people into our booth. When someone tries one on, they often say:

“Oh, this reminds me of…”

  • A childhood beach trip.
  • A favorite coastal town.
  • A loved one who collected sea glass.

Sea glass feels personal. Each piece is one-of-a-kind, just like the person wearing it. And because every shape is different, customers love choosing their piece — the one that feels meant for them.

4. Sea Glass Art

Sea glass art surprises people at markets — in the best way. It draws in:

  • Home decorators
  • Sea glass collectors
  • Shoppers looking for that perfect gift
  • Visitors wanting something meaningful to take home
  • Customers who aren't shopping for jewelry.

These framed pieces feel uniquely coastal and many have a distinctly Pacific Northwest theme. And, since they are 5x7 and easy to carry, they’re a perfect market purchase.

They also give us something we love: conversations.

5. Other items that do well for us:

  • Handmade chains. Even though Will's sterling silver chains are expensive and high-end, they are quite popular. They are a classic piece of jewelry, made to last a lifetime, and cost a fraction of what it would cost to buy something similar that comes in robin-egg blue packaging.

  • Stacking rings. We sell a lot of stacking rings, both plain and gemstone. And, we always let customers know that we take orders for these. I make a lot of custom-sized stackable rings throughout the market season.

Why These Sell So Well In Person:

After all these markets, here’s what we’ve noticed:

✨ People buy what they can feel. The weight of sterling silver. The smooth polish of a stone. The texture of hammered metal.

People buy what fits. We always make sure to have a wide variety of sizes of rings on hand...from the very small to the very large and everything in between.

Stories matter. When we share where a Holley Blue Agate came from, that we mine our own Oregon Sunstones, or how sea glass is found and shaped by time, it creates connection.

Personal choice wins. In person, customers get to try on, choose their exact stone, exact shape, exact piece. That experience is powerful.

We’re so grateful that what sells best in person is also what feels most authentic to us as makers. We are even more thankful that we have regular spots at the Corvallis Makers Market and the Yachats Farmers Market that allow us to sell in person.
